Just thought you should all know that BRISC (the coolest content-based image retrieval project I’ve ever worked on in summer ‘06!) got a writeup in PACSweb. Mike (the inimitable FreeArrow) was quoted at length (sweet!).

I’m disappointed though, they got the acronym wrong. Brisc Really Is Cool is completely professional sounding!

Yeah…if he had said “anagram” instead of “acronym” he’d have been fine. Oh well. By the way, I’ve been trying to keep the BRISC website up-to-date with links and papers and stuff. If you can think of anything I’ve forgotten, let me know and I’ll add it. I seem to remember BRISC being featured on some open source website a while back but I can’t find it now.

And all this from our little summer project. This must be what watching your kid graduate from college feels like. :)
